On Tuesdays I will be looking at "Room Assets and Room Issues". The room I am working on this week looks like this:
The room assets are the pair of
Ikea Pello chairs, the sofa with the chaise and matching armchair, and the 6' tall oak bookcase:
The issues are: no focal point, the bland color scheme, the lack of space between the sofa and the armchair, the dated window treatment, and the rug.
Tomorrow I will make an inspiration board for an inexpensive update on colors and accessories, and then on Thursday I will show how to re-arrange the furniture.
